Kato Joram’ Story From Externship experience

My name is Kato Joram, a third-year law student at Makerere University, School of Law. I was privileged to be part of the CLE class of 2023 and specially the team that was doing externship at Wandegeya police Station. During my four weeks of externship, I have had quite an interesting experience. To start with the interaction with the real field was a learning journey: from theory to practice. Secondly, I learnt the different police departments and processes especially hoe to get bond for a suspect which is a crucial element of social justice. Lastly through the interaction I appreciated the justice, law and order sector and the importance of social justice needs in our society. My gratitude goes out to the PILAC team for the opportunity, mentorship and support.
