School Of Law Gets A New College Bursar

The School of Law has today Friday 30th July 2021 bid farewell to the outgoing College Bursar Mrs Vianney Baguma and formerly welcomed the incoming Finance Head Mr. Serunjogi Abdul Majid.

While witnessing the hand over, Prof. Christopher Mbazira introduced the incoming officer to the various units, the structure and programs at the School of law.  He extended his appreciation to Mrs Baguma for the good work done during her tenure at the School of Law, which he said, had given the office of the Principal a lot of relief in as far as handling the financial management pressures is concerned.  He said for the first time, the School of Law had ended a financial year with satisfactory performance in the unit, which he attributed to the innovativeness, timeliness and tireless effort exhibited by Mrs. Baguma.

In her hand over remarks, Mrs Baguma who has been at the School of Law for close to two years extended her appreciation to the management and staff of the School of Law for the cordial working relations she had which she said, enabled her perform her duties well.

In an emotional ceremony held at the School of Law, Mrs Baguma specially commended the Principal of the School of Law, Prof. Christopher Mbazira for the demonstrated good relations he enjoys with staff that are a motivation in the execution of various assignments.

She urged the incoming College Bursar to remain open in handling the financial resources of the Unit and specifically make the budget as open as possible to enable smooth operationalization of the financial management task ahead of him.

On his part, Mr. Serunjogi reaffirmed his commitment to perform his duties as expected of him for the good of the School of Law.  He said the Accounts office will be open to all and called upon the staff of the School of Law to utilize his services to the maximum.
