New Publication: Militarizing more to Develop Faster?

The book is the first comprehensive analysis of militarisation’s permeation and consolidation within Uganda’s economy and society. It details the impact on livelihoods, civilian institutions, and human rights among other outcomes of deploying Uganda’s military to the country’s key development sectors such as fisheries, agriculture, land, and mineral resources. The book is the product of a 4 years research collaboration between the Human Rights and Peace Centre (HURIPEC) at Makerere University and CRIC at the University of Copenhagen funded by DANIDA. The book is published by The African Studies Bookstore (www. africanbook.shop)
