HW Lumunye Timothy Presides Over Moot Court at Makerere Law School
His Worship Lumunye Timothy, Chief Magistrate of the Law Development Centre (LDC) Court, presided over a moot court at the Makerere University School of Law as part of a teaching and assessment programme organised by the Public Interest Law Clinic.

The moot involved a hypothetical dispute addressing contemporary issues in tort law, particularly defamation arising from digital communication. Through the exercise, students gained practical experience in courtroom procedure and oral advocacy while applying legal principles to emerging challenges in the digital environment.
The engagement reflects the LDC Court’s broader mandate as a teaching court and its contribution to experiential legal education. By participating in such exercises, law students strengthen their ability to connect classroom theory with courtroom practice.
