Cynthia Nona Tamale, LL.B. (Second Class Upper) (Mak); LL.M. (Harvard); Dip. L.P. (LDC)
Ms. Nona Tamale is an Assistant Lecturer under the Department of Public and Comparative Law at the School of Law, Makerere University. A graduate of Makerere University and Harvard Law School, her research interests span the areas of public financial management, international economic law, labour law, business and human rights, and regulation of social enterprises and small businesses.
She has consulted for the United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), Oxfam International, Oxfam Novib, African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD) and CivSource Africa, among others.
Ms. Tamale is an inaugural Fellow with the African Sovereign Debt Justice Network (AfSDJN) where she conducts research on sovereign debt in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Previously, she worked with Oxfam International and Initiative for Social and Economic Rights (ISER).
Ms. Tamale is a qualified advocate of the High Court of Uganda and member of the Uganda Law Society (ULS) and East African Law Society (EALS).
