Mr. Ochieng Zekeri

Mr. Ochieng is a qualified, dedicated and experienced Library and Information Science professional with over 15 years of hands-on experience in academic libraries, records management, and information services. He holds a Master of Science in Information Science, a Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, and Certificate in Library and Information Science—all from Makerere University.

He is dedicated to supporting legal education and research through effective information management and library services.

Over the years, He has developed strong skills in digitization, user support, archival management, information retrieval, and library operations. My career at Makerere University Library, alongside part-time roles and earlier experiences, has shaped me into a resourceful, committed, and service-oriented individual. I take pride in promoting information access and literacy, maintaining organized library systems, and helping users find and utilize information effectively.

He is also an active community leader with a solid background in leadership, teamwork, and transformative service. My leadership roles within SACCOs, community enterprises, and youth organizations have strengthened my ability to mobilize, manage, and lead people in both professional and social environments.

He values discipline, continuous learning, and a strong work ethic. He believes that education and commitment are key to long-term success, and He seeks opportunities that allow him to grow and contribute meaningfully in the field of librarianship and records management.
