New HoDs at School of Law
Dr. Daniel Ruhweza and Dr. Busingye Kabumba were appointed heads of Department of Law & Jurisprudence and Human Rights and Peace Centre respectively at the 761st meeting of Makerere University Appointments Board (AB) held on 30th April 2025.
The departments are academic units under Makerere University School of Law (SoL). The appointments were approved.
AB is a committee of the Makerere University Council responsible for the appointment, promotion, removal from service and discipline of all officers and staff in the academic and administrative service of the University, as may be determined by the University Council.
In other news, Mr. Zekeri Ochieng was transferred to SoL as the new Librarian replacing Ms. Annet Kibajjo who was transferred to the Main Library. Annet had served at SoL for 7yrs prior to her move.
