We have a large number of alumni in different fields of influence in Uganda, the Judiciary, Legislature, the Executive and those in private Practice. The Makerere Law Society was started in 1971 as the premier Law students Union in Uganda.

The membership of the Makerere Law Society started out with a population of only about 30 members in 1971 to over 1300 students in 2021.

Our Alumni are United under the umbrella organization called The School of Law Alumni Association which is now by law a registered as School of Law Alumni Association to be a member run organisation.

Mr. Andrew Khauka is the Chairperson assisted by the Law School Principal Prof. Christopher Mbazira and Mr. Francis Harimwomugasho who assists the Association with publicity.
