Grace Waiswa Nsaawa has served on the Makerere Law Society Cabinet since his first year of study at the school of Law. He served as MLS First Year Class Representative (2019/2020) and he is the current President of the Makerere Law Society since 03 May 2021
Our President is a DLA Piper Fellow, member of the Clinical Legal Education (CLE) Class of 2021 and has actively participated in community legal aid outreaches under the Community Law Program and Mobile Clinic (CLAPMOC), a project of the Public Interest Law Clinic (PILAC) at Makerere University. He is also a former Research Fellow with the International Service for Human Rights (ISHR)
Grace is a proactive member of the Makerere Law Society. He emerged the winner of the Makerere University Internal All of Africa Human Rights Moot Court Competitions 2021. He has represented Makerere University in the Nuremberg Moot Court Competitions 2020 and 2021. In May 2019, he emerged winner of the Makerere Moot Society Spirit Award.
He is the Federation of African Law Students' East African Regional Director for Policies Programs and Projects.
