Membership to the society shall be divided in to the following categories:-

a) Full membership:

This shall be open to only students taking a full time or part time law course upon the payment of a membership fee as prescribed in schedule 2. It shall be mandatory for every new member to pay this membership fee.

b) Associate membership:

This shall be open to former full members of the society upon payment of a fee determined by the Executive.

c) Honorary membership:

This shall be to persons who are not full members. It shall be awarded on merit by the Executive to distinguished members of the public who have contributed towards the development of their society.

d) Ex-officio membership:
The Patron, Principal and Deputy Principal School of Law shall be Ex-officio members of the society.

e) The Treasurer shall issue membership cards to any member of the society upon payment of the membership fee. Such card shall be prima-facie evidence that the holder named therein is a full member of the society.
