LawBOT (Law Based On Technology) is a student led tech law initiative geared towards innovations, discourse and creation of platforms that enable students utilize tech and digital tools to create solutions to contemporary access to justice challenges.

It is based in Makerere University School of Law

The Makerere University rule of law club was established by the Uganda Law Society under the Uganda law society rule of law club projects in 2017 to promote a culture of the rule of law in the country.

The legal sector like many other areas has realized the need for innovation through applications, AI tools and other tools that ease provision of justice which are unfortunately not provided in the traditional curriculum. LawBOT provides a platform through various innovation programs and activities centric to students.

LawBOT has worked with CourtCorrect,a UK tech law engine,Legal Tech Hub,Global Legal Hackathon and PILAC in execution of moots,conferences and innovations that provide students with a chance to interface with how tech can be utilized in the legal sector.
