STUDENT MOOT COMPETITIONS

 

Moot courts are one of the practical ways of the teaching and learning Law. The School of Law through the Mooting Society and PILAC participated in a number of Moots Competitions notable among these was the School of Law Silver jubilee celebratory moot that was held at the School of Law, presided over by the Deputy Chief Justice of Uganda Hon. Alfonce Owiny Dollo on the 14th of September 2018.  For the first time the School hosted and witnessed the Judges parade.

From then on wards, the Supreme court of Uganda pledged to hold Student Moot Competitions annually at the School of Law.  In addition to this, the Directorate of Public prosecutions pledged to have a day on the School of Law where Judicial officers would take over the teaching and other activities to further experiential learning for the students.
