NOTIFICATION OF PRE ENTRY EXAMINATIONS FOR ADMISSION TO THE POST GRADUATE BAR COURSE, 2011/2012

 

 

Notice is hereby given that the pre entry Examinations for Admission to

The Post Graduate Bar Course 2011/2012,

under the  Advocate (Professional Requirements for Admission to Post Graduate  Bar Course) Notice ,Legal Notice No. 17 of 2007, as amended by Legal Notice N. 12 of 2010, shall be conducted at the Uganda Manufacturers Association

(UMA) Multipurpose Hall, Lugogo on  

16th August, 2011

 Starting at 9.00 a.m.

Candidates must be in the examination by 8.15 am.

The Examination shall be closed-book covering the core University Law courses which are:

  1. Legal Methods
  2. Constitutional Law
  3. Law of Contract
  4. Criminal Law of Torts
  5. law of Evidence
  6. Civil Procedure
  7. Criminal Procedure.

The examination shall also test the candidate’s aptitude and values they attach to the Legal Profession.

Eligible Applicants should collect bank slips from the

 Law development Centre (LDC)

and deposit the prescribed examination fee of Sh. 50,000 in the designated bank. After payment to the bank, the bank deposit slips should be returned to LDC together with two recent copies of the candidate’s passport size photographs. An examination entry card shall thereafter be issued with an index number for use in the examination. bank slips will be issued only to those who shall have applied for admission to LDC and are eligible under the Law. The Closing date for issuing the examination cards is 12th August 2011.

Candidates shall be required to present their examinations card and valid identification documents at the examination. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited at the examination premises.
