The 8th Annual National ESCR Conference


The Public Interest Law Clinic, School of Law in partnership with other stakeholders is set to convene the 8th Annual National Conference on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

The Theme is; Reclaiming Public Services for Inclusive and Sustainable Socio-economic Recovery after Covid 19 Introduction

The conference will discuss measures to ensure strengthening of public services as one of the strategies for achieving inclusive and sustainable socio-economic recovery. This follows the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and its attendant consequences that have inevitably hindered the enjoyment of the social economic and cultural rights such as access to education, lowered incomes and quality of livelihoods. The deliberations and recommendations from the conference are expected to contribute to ensuring that public services are strengthened, more especially now during recovery from the pandemic.

The proceedings will be telecast live on NTV Uganda from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm on both days 15th and 16th September 2021 and will also have online platforms (twitter & facebook).
