This program awards grants to Ugandan university faculty and others to pursue advanced degrees (master’s, doctorates), non-degree, or research programs in the United States.  Although core exchanges are universities, candidates who are affiliated with other educational, cultural, or professional institutions may apply.

This award funds African university faculty, administrators, and research institute professionals to conduct postdoctoral research or curriculum development and research at a U.S. academic or research institution.

SUSI for Scholars is an intensive post-graduate level academic program with integrated study tours that provides foreign university faculty and other scholars the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the United States’ society, culture, and institutions. The six competitive Institutes are American Culture and Values, Journalism and Media, Religious Pluralism in the United States, U.S. Economics and Business, U.S. Foreign Policy and Workforce Development.
