Academic Experience : 
Professor of Law Prof. Twinomugisha is the first graduate of the Doctor of Laws (LL.D) awarded by Makerere University. He has been with the School as a Teaching Assistant (1986–1990) and rejoined the school in 1996 as a Lecturer. His research and teaching interests include Health and Human Rights, Environmental Law and International Law. He has also taught Contract Law, Sale of Goods, Bankruptcy and Company Law at National College of Business Studies now (Makerere Business School), Uganda Christian University in Mukono and Makerere University. Prof. Twinomugisha has also taught Globalization and Human Rights at the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria. He is a member of the Uganda Law Society, East African Law Society and a Rotarian. He has also served as a member of the Makerere University Council and Appointments Board. Recently Prof. Twinomugisha led a consultancy on harmonization of legal training and curricula in East Africa. He has delivered lectures on Cross Border Legal Practice on Continuing Legal Education (CCE) seminars hosted by the East African Law Society. Prof. Twinomugisha also worked as a Lands Officer and a Legal practitioner with Sam Kutesa & Company Advocates and Twinomugisha Shokoro & Company Advocates and is a member of the IUCN Academy on Environmental Law
