Prof. Kasimbazi Elected a TWAS Fellow

KASIMBAZI, Emmanuel  PhD, Professor, School of Law, Kampala, in the Department of Environmental Law, School of Law  was among the 55 newly elected fellows of the World Academy of Sciences and an event that took place on the 26th of January 2018.
Prof. Kasimbazi’s an extensive research experience in Environmental law and policy. He has authored Environmental and Energy monographs for Uganda, book chapters and journal articles on Oil and Gas, Wildlife, Water, climate change, forestry and energy management and regulation. Member of the Uganda National Academy of Sciences, he has received the Golden Key International Honour, the Hon. N.D. Mc Dermit Graduate Scholarship, the Alberta Law Foundation Graduate Scholarship and the Graduate Research Scholarship, all in Canada.
The 2018 class of TWAS Fellows covers a broad diversity of nations and includes the highest proportion of women ever elected to the Academy in a single year. All are among the world's most accomplished scientists living in or focused on the developing world. 
Prof. Kasimbazi was also elected a fellow of the Africa Academy of Sciences last month.
