<p>The amiable law professor, Joe Oloka-Onyango, has released a legal spellbinder: When Courts Do Politics: Public Interest Law and Litigation in East Africa. It couldn’t have come at a better time, writes PIUS MUTEEKANI KATUNZI. The country is waiting for the decision of the Constitutional court on the petition against the amendment of article 102(b). The article provided that for one to qualify as president of Uganda, he/she, among other qualifications, had to be aged between 35 and 75. Through the Constitution (Amendment) Bill No.2, 2017, parliament deleted that requirement.</p>
